Hello, and welcome!

My name is Manuela and I am a meditation and mindfulness teacher. I help people find the space in their lives, and in themselves, to start and develop a solid meditation practice. I help them create a life focused on what really matters. A happier, more mindful life. Like the one I created for myself.

A few years ago, I was on a path filled with stress and unhappiness. I was a dentist for 18 years and what I most remember from that time was a strong tightening in my chest, followed by thoughts of "calm down, the day is almost over". I was living my life on auto-pilot, reacting to whatever happened, watching my days slip away, right before my eyes.

Deep down, I knew there had to be more, there had to be better and I decided to take action, to try something new. Something that quickly opened up my mind and soul to simple but powerful truths:

  • I can pause
  • My thoughts don't define me
  • I need silence to understand what I really want
  • I need to treat myself with love and kindness
  • What I practice becomes stronger
How did I realize all this? I started to meditate. It was a long and, at times, a very frustrating journey, but it was a journey of self-discovery, one that led me to deep internal change. The strong meditation practice that I built helped me shift towards enormous personal growth, greater wellbeing, it brought me focus and creativity. It gave me the mental skills and attitudes I needed to deal with everything that life throws at me. To understand what is important and what is unnecessary.

After years of studying, attending workshops, courses and retreats, of becoming a MBSR qualified teacher, I finally had the clarity and the courage to say goodbye to dentistry and say hello to helping others live a happier, more meaningful life, through meditation and mindfulness.

I'm living my most authentic life right now. I currently split my time between the north of France, Belgium and Portugal, and the freedom to be able to work from anywhere is priceless. I love nature, gardening and horse-back riding, and always find time for macramé, podcasts and music, for visiting markets and festivals. I adore meeting new people and organising retreats, but I also love hanging out at home and putting in some quality me-time. I love routines, but I also love going with the flow. I continue to listen to myself and to create the life of my dreams. It’s a beautiful daily practice. It’s my anchor.
