Main Engines The Builder will install 2 diesel engines Caterpillar 3512C, rating C HD , DITA-SWAC, power about 1.765 kW (2.200 HP) at 1.835 rpm, coupled to reduction gears.
Reduction gears Two marine reduction gears with gear ratio 3,5:1 approx will be installed; the gearboxes will have a lubricating emergency pump. They will be plumbed to the clean/dirty oil transfer system.
Elastic coupling The main engines will be coupled to the reduction gear by flexible join Vulcan type or equivalent as per Yard standard.
Propeller shaft Stuffing box' seals will be of "Deep Sea Seal" ceramic type with pneumatic chamber or similar. The shaft's supporting bushings will be Thordon or equivalent. Propeller shafts will be Aquamet 17 or equivalent, coupled to the reduction gears' flanges. Calculations on torsional vibrations will be submitted to the Classification Society for approval. The shaft lines system will have no torsional, axial or side vibrations and will be aligned in compliance within the allowance accepted by the manufacturers. The complete shaft lines system will be built to ensure that there is no critical speed within the ordinary range of operation of the yacht. Earth connection will be installed.
Propellers Outward rotating, 5-blade propellers of diameter approx mm 1.500 will be installed. The propellers will be in Nibral, a bronze, nickel and aluminium alloy. The coupling on the shaft will be cone with key.
Main Generators: 3 x Caterpillar generators, each with one diesel engine feeding a 3-phase generator 2 x approx 86kW at 1500 rpm 1 x port generator approx 55 KW
Emergency diesel generator: 16KVA, 230-400v, 50Hz Shore Power Converter: 100 KVA with auto switch over to Generators.
BOW THRUSTER One transversal propeller will be installed at the bow. It will be a two fixed pitch counter rotating propellers, 20" diameter (508 mm) TRAC Series (American Bow-Thruster) 75 kW (100 HP), thrust of at least 1.000 Kg.
FIN STABILIZERS A non-retractable stabilizer fins system will be installed and will consist of: 2 x plate complete with two hydraulic cylinders and stainless steel shafts 1 x electro hydraulic power unit 2 x fins 1 x Datum sensor package with Datum control panel
Fins will be designed to damp 90% of the rolling at a speed of 12 knots. Stabilizers will be VOSPER Naiad Koopnautic KN 420 with 2 x 1,7 m2 composite fiberglass fin with NACA profile. When the engines are put in reverse, the fins will be automatically turned in neutral position and locked. The DATUM control system will allow the fins to operate also with the boat at anchor (zero-speed stabilizers).
AIR CONDITIONING The system will be of "fan coil" together with external treated air type and will be optimised according to the manufacturer's instructions. The system will be of tropicalized type, Condaria, generating about 650,000 BTU |
